Cost Of Living (IFS) Synopsis

Independent Filmmakers Showcase

"London, 2017. Robin has a remote, bristly relationship with her mother, Jayne – an inveterate liar and alcoholic with whom everyone is rapidly running out of patience.

But when her father, Martyn, files for divorce and Jayne comes to the capital to revitalise her flagging career in journalism, Robin sees in her mother's newly vulnerable state an opportunity to forge the bond they've never previously had.

Concerned that Jayne is using their daughter as a pawn in their divorce settlement, Martyn is left meanwhile with a dilemma – how can he protect Robin, without giving into Jayne's manipulations all over again?"
