On 3rd October Peckhamplex hosted the premiere of Liam Pinheiro-Rogers’ wonderful short film London’s Forgotten followed by the film maker Q & A and subsequent panel discussion on Knife Crime. The panel included Lib Peck, Director of the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit, Robin Harris, Founder of charity Finding Rhythms, Jo Youle, Chief Executive of charity Missing People and Detective Superintendent Neerav Patel of the Metropolitan Police. Excellent connections were made on the evening between many of the practitioners in social change who were on the panel and in the packed-house audience which also included many regular customers of Peckhamplex.
We hope that by sponsoring the film and hosting the evening we have made at least some small difference in ending this carnage in our cities.
